Charity Golf Challenge

Charity Golf Challenge - Ladies Edition 2024

Extra•Ordinary People will host our first Ladies’ Edition Charity Golf Challenge on Friday, 19th April 2024, Friday (Afternoon Tee-Off) at the Tanah Merah Country Club Tampines Course. We are expecting a turn-out of ladies from the Diplomatic and expat community and representation from corporate leadership.

How You Can Help
Your sponsorship, donations, or purchase of golf flights will help EPL reach its $250K fundraising goal during this charity golf event. The funds raised will significantly reduce program costs for low-income families we serve.

Celebrating our Ladies
This year, we’re introducing a uniquely designed Ladies Golf Challenge inspired by the resilience and strength of women. Women are overcomers, gracefully ascending to great heights, rising above the ground like a hot air balloon, symbolising freedom and adventure – they transcend negative thoughts, gaining a wider perspective that makes challenges appear smaller, unveiling broader solutions and pathways.

With half of Team EPL consisting of ladies, we understand how ladies are an integral part of support and success for our beneficiaries. Your participation in the Ladies Golf Challenge contributes to our cause and celebrates women’s remarkable qualities.

What we do at Extra•Ordinary People
Extra•Ordinary People has been steadfast in our mission to meaningfully integrate persons with special needs into society through our various programmes as follows:

  • Integrated Programme (7 to 18 years old) – A comprehensive approach towards improving a child’s cognitive functionality with our therapists using a curated curriculum based on Art and Play. Our clients range from 7 years old to 18 and above.
  • The Extraordinary Campus (18 years old and above) – A Post-18 campus aimed at equipping individuals with essential skills and meaningful activities in preparation for successful independent integration into society and gainful employment.
  • Creative Lab (7 years old and above) – Believing art and music are catalysts of expression, we utilise community-supported initiatives as a medium for artists with special needs to pursue art as a vocation and career. Creative Lab empowers individuals with special needs by creating and exhibiting artwork to be recognised as included, contributing community members.

What you can expect
The day promises to be an extraordinary experience, boasting enjoyable fringe activities throughout the afternoon for golfers and non-golfers alike. An Extraordinary Appreciation Dinner will round off the evening with fun and honour all prize winners, all in gratitude to all who have contributed to our cause.

Do the men get to participate?
Absolutely! Men are welcome to participate, but each team should include two lady golfers. For detailed information, please refer to [LINK].

Non-Golfers are Welcome too!
If golf isn’t your game, you can still be part of the event! Join us for dinner and an evening of fun and entertainment with all our winners.

Charity Golf Challenge 2023

Extraordinary People held our 2nd Charity Golf Challenge on 14 July 2023 at the Tanah Merah Country Club Tampines Course. Mr Desmond Tan, Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Secretary General, NTUC, was in attendance as Guest-of-Honour for the event.

Through our golfing guests’ donations and purchases of golf flights, Extraordinary People met our target of $250,000. Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude to all our sporting guests, enabling us to continue running essential programmes for families with special needs.

Funds raised from the event will heavily subsidise programme costs, significantly reducing the financial burden on the low-income families we serve.
